Playing Jackpot Vegas Solitaire

Jackpot Vegas Solitaire is a version of the popular Klondike Solitaire, which uses a single pass through the Stock, turned one card at a time.

Objective

To win a game of Jackpot Vegas Solitaire, the four Foundation piles must be complete. Each pile must contain thirteen cards of the same suit, in ascending sequential order, from Ace to King. Upon completion of the Foundation piles, the player is awarded the current Jackpot amount in addition to the Win Rate paid for each card.

Layout

The layout consists of thirteen card piles arranged in four distinct groups known as the Stock, Waste, Foundation, and Tableau. Initially, the four piles of the Foundation and the Waste pile are empty. The seven Tableau piles contain an increasing number of cards, starting with one card for the left-most pile and ending with seven cards for the right-most. The top card of each Tableau pile is face-up; the rest are face-down. The Stock pile contains the remaining cards, all face-down.

Stock

The top card in the Stock may be turned over and placed on top of the Waste pile. Left-click the Stock pile to perform this action. In Jackpot Vegas Solitaire, once the Stock pile is empty, it is no longer used. No cards may be moved to the Stock pile.

Foundation

There are four Foundation piles, one per card suit. Each pile has a graphic indicating which suit it represents. Foundation piles must be built up in ascending sequence by suit, starting with an Ace and ending with a King. Cards may be moved to a Foundation pile from either the Waste or the Tableau piles. Each card moved to the Foundation increases your winnings. The top card of a Foundation pile can also be moved to the Tableau, although such an action will result in a decrease in winnings.

Waste

The Waste receives cards, face-up, from the Stock pile. Only the top card in the Waste may be moved to the Foundation or Tableau. To move a card from the Waste, drag the card to the desired destination pile. Alternatively, left-clicking the top Waste card will automatically move it to the Foundation or Tableau, if possible.

At most three cards from the Waste will be visible.

Tableau

Cards in the Tableau must decrease, in order, and alternate in color.

The Tableau is where cards are arranged to allow building up the Foundation. Tableau piles are built down in sequence of alternating colors. For example, if the top card of a Tableau pile is Queen of Hearts, then only a black Jack ( Spade or Club ) may be placed on it. Left-clicking the top face-up card will automatically move it to the Foundation or another Tableau pile, if possible.

Initially, each Tableau pile has its top card face-up. When the top card is moved, and the pile is not empty, it will result in a face-down card as the new top card. The top face-down card can be turned over by left-clicking it. If the last card of a Tableau pile is moved, that pile is considered empty. Only a King, or a stack ( see below ) with a King as the bottom card, can be moved to an empty Tableau pile.

In addition to moving a single card, multiple cards may be moved between Tableau piles. A stack consists of two or more cards that have been built down. For example, a Five of Diamonds, Four of Spades, Three of Hearts, and Two of Spades is a valid stack. To move a stack, left-click on the card that will become the bottom-most card in the stack and drag it to the destination pile. Continuing with the previous example, if a Tableau pile exists with a top card of Four of Clubs, then a stack consisting of the Three of Hearts and Two of Spades may be moved to the Four of Clubs by dragging the Three of Hearts onto it.

Moving cards between Tableau piles does not increase your winnings, but it does help in revealing the twenty-one face-down cards.

Features

Bet

Use the left and right arrows around the word Bet to decrease and increase the amount to wager.

Win Rate

This is the amount paid for each card placed in the Foundation. The Win Rate depends on the amount Bet. For example, with a bet of £1.04, each card in the Foundation will pay £0.10. Increasing the bet to £2.60 will result in £0.25 per card.

Amount Won

Progressive Jackpot

This displays the current jackpot amount. The jackpot will increment with each game played. If all fifty-two cards are moved to the Foundation piles, the Jackpot amount is paid in addition to the Amount Won value!

Undo Move

Moves that do not result in turning over a card can be undone. Only the last move can be undone. Moving cards from Waste to Foundation, Waste to Tableau, Tableau to Foundation, Tableau to Tableau, and Foundation to Tableau can be undone. Moving cards from Stock to Waste or turning over a Tableau card cannot be undone.
